In this episode of Therapist in the Wild, Dr. Witt asks us to contemplate shame death spirals. Yes, we know everyone’s favorite subject… Shame makes us feel disapproval, we blush, feel bad, get pissed even, or if we’re feeling really bad we begin to remind ourselves of past experiences of shame and discomfort, prompting our decent into a shame death spiral. The trick is to catch yourself before you start down the shame whirlpool. It takes recognition and time, but the sooner you become present to your shame triggers, the healthier and happier you will be. For the whole picture, straight from the Wild source, watch the video.
