The Warrior and the Man of Wisdom

Masculine and feminine are types
We all have masculine and feminine aspects and most of us have a more masculine or feminine essence in the sexual occasion. Our sexual essence guides us developmentally.
Those with more masculine sexual essences tend to be drawn to the Warrior and Man of Wisdom archetypes
The masculine is drawn to embodying depth of consciousness and deep compassion. He’s drawn to the Hero’s journey and especially the Warrior and Man of Wisdom archetypes. There are spiritual forms that attract masculine people. These include presence, meaning at the edge of death, divine purpose, living your principles, depth of consciousness, and pure emptiness. We know these qualities when we see them in figures like Martin Luther King, Obe-Wan Kenobe, Yo-yo Ma, and Barack Obama.
Authenticity, integrity, open-heartedness, and radical acceptance guide a man from Warrior to Man of Wisdom.
The three stages of the Warrior: Acolyte, Warrior, and Man of Wisdom.
- Acolyte—called towards mastery and growth, the acolyte finds a discipline/capacity/practice/purpose that is luminous and then grows towards it guided by wise teachers. Teens do better as adults with two or more years of training in something they care about. Spiritual yearning increases from 15 to 20, and deep connection with our masculine sexual essence is a spiritual foundation for men.
- Warrior—Finds himself in ordeals. Clarifies his principles. Commits to deep soul’s purpose.
- Man of Wisdom—finally moving beyond competition and striving into sharing gifts and love.
How to open your heart
How to best grow through the stages? Theravada Buddhism’s eight-fold path is one blueprint: Right view, right resolve, right conduct, right speech, right effort, right mindfulness, and right Samadhi. Samadhi is an enlightenment experience—a spiritual elevation—that feels great but doesn’t distract a man from deep soul’s purpose. Miyamoto Musashi—the preeminent samurai Warrior of 17th century Japan—said a Warrior does not let his spirit get too high or too low.
Practices that open your heart include:
- Breathing deeply and exhaling slowly, all the time sending love from your heart to someone you love.
- Receiving caring influence from another.
- Surrendering to sacred loving commitments.
- Breathing into your abdomen, feeling the power, and reaching for the highest good.
- Offering generous loving service to others.
- Offering generous loving service to a chosen partner.
- Facing and embracing your strengths and weaknesses and doing your best.
- Practicing the joy of life and utter magic of self-aware consciousness.
It always starts in the present moment—Everything begins and ends in the present moment. Men trust other men who are fully present in the moment, and women are drawn to present men.
